Alexa Cantalupo

Alexa Cantalupo

Alexa Cantalupo is a violinist, musician and creative director currently living and working in Washington, DC. She is creative director of rogue collective, a new music ensemble focused on interdisciplinary collaboration and bridging the gap between classical and popular styles. Under Alexa’s management rogue collective has performed for the NPR Music’s Tiny Desk series and Capital Fringe as well as performances in venues such as The Strathmore, 9:30 Club, The Atlas Theatre, The Black Cat, The Clarice, and many more. Alexa has excelled at positions in nonprofit organizations such as Washington Performing Arts and the Washington Bach Consort. Alexa currently holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Maryland and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Arts Management at American University. In her spare time Alexa enjoys cultivating her apartment garden and snuggling her two adorable calico cats.

Kaitlin Moreno

Kaitlin Moreno

Kaitlin is a DC based violinist with a performance degree from the University of Maryland, College Park where she served as a graduate ensemble fellow. Kaitlin is dedicated to performing music of our time by collaborating with up-and-coming composers, visual artists, and performers. Most recently, Kaitlin was a fellow at the Bang on a Can festival and the Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice at the New England Conservatory. She is an active freelance musician and teacher in the DMV, performing with the Fairfax Symphony, Gourmet Symphony, Pan American Symphony Orchestra, as well as serving as concertmaster of the Capital City Symphony for their Go Go Symphony series. She is also one of the founding members of rogue collective, a group of musicians, dancers, and visual artists who are interested in creating a dialogue between classical and popular art forms. As a teacher, Kaitlin has received training in the Suzuki method through Book 4 at the Hartt Institute and has an active private studio in the DMV area.

Natalie Spehar

Natalie Spehar

Natalie Spehar has made her mark in classical, rock, and folk music, performing most recently with artists including Disturbed, Roses & Revolutions, Michael Bublé and the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Natalie is a graduate of Eastman School of Music and the University of Maryland, and is a current member of DC’s Great Noise Ensemble. An avid supporter of new music, Natalie has presented 45 world premiere performances and has traveled to perform & lecture on her work in string performance with electronics. She is also an active composer and studio recording artist, and the Founder & Director of Annapolis Young Artists Program and D.C.’s Urban Initiatives String Project, providing free music instruction to inner city students.
